Call for Special Session Proposals

Special session papers will supplement to the regular papers and be included in the proceedings of PV 2015. Each special session should focus on a state-of-the-art research direction in all areas related to packet video.

Special Session Proposal Requirements:

Usually, each special session should comprise of five papers. Please include the following information in a proposal:

Title of the proposed special session.
Name(s)/affiliations(s) of the organizer(s).

Please also include a brief bio and contact information.

A session abstract including significance justification and a brief overview of the state-of-the art of the proposed title.

Proposals are to be submitted by email to Prof Kim Man Lam at <[email protected]> using subject “PV 2015 Special Session Proposal”.

Proposals will be evaluated based on the relevance to PV, qualification(s) of the organizer(s) and the quality of the topic/proposed potential papers. Once the proposal accepted, the organizer(s) will need to arrange the review process.

In order to ensure high quality of the workshop papers, all papers submitted to special sessions will be peer-reviewed through the same process as the regular papers. If a special session has too many papers, some of the papers might be moved to some regular sessions.

Submission of Special Session Proposals: January 6th, 2015. Tuesday.
Notification of Proposal Acceptance: January 13th, 2015. Tuesday.
Submission of Full Papers: March 2nd, 2015. Monday.
Notification of Paper Acceptance: March 16th, 2015. Monday.
